Learning if you have laced weed is essential if you don’t want to end up smoking it. Laced weed is rare because it takes away from profits and makes enemies. It’s more likely that you are smoking moldy weed.
What is laced weed?
Laced weed is most commonly laced with coke, PCP, meth, and heroin. If weed is laced, it’s usually intended to be consumed by the person who did the lacing. However, dealers may sell laced weed at a higher price as a “wet” or an “amp” joint.
Testing for Laced Weed
Using a residue drug test is the best way to test for weed laced. Residue drug tests are made to detect the presence of drugs within seconds and can be bought cheaply on Amazon. If you’ve already tried the weed in question you may be able to use a urine drug test but the results won’t be as accurate. Using a residue drug test as a urine drug test, or vice versa, won’t work because the drugs change chemically when they are metabolized by your body.
Look, Taste, and Smell
Your cannabis should look green and smell pungent. When it’s laced with another drug it can smell like harsh chemicals and can have a burning sensation when you inhale. If you shake a bud, not many crystals should fall off, a little is alright as those are probably trichomes. Trichomes are brown to clear in color. If you see blue or white crystals, the weed is probably laced. In order to get a close look of the trichomes, I like to use a 420 scope.

What Does Laced Weed Look Like?
Laced weed usually has a green and brown color to it. The leaves are also usually frayed or have a cracked appearance. Some people say that it looks like the leaves have been dipped in wax.
It is important to note that laced weed can vary in appearance depending on the strain. So, if you are unsure what it looks like, it is always best to ask someone who is familiar with the plant.
Weed Laced With Coke
Because of cocaine’s availability, coke laced weed is probably the most popular form of laced weed. Coke is the white powdered form of cocaine and is normally smoked, snorted, or ingested. The texture is close to powdered sugar.
Cocaine smells like ether, gasoline, or the chemical that used to extract the freebase from the mash. This smell can sometimes even be mistaken as cannabis.

Testing for Glass Laced Weed
A good way to test if your weed is laced with glass is to use a CD. Weed, on its own, will not scratch a CD easily. All you have to do is to gently rub a bud on a CD and if it gets scratched your weed is probably laced. Although, if your weed is dry it may still scratch CD.
Weed Laced With PCP
Phencyclidine, aka PCP or angel dust, can be found in the form of white powder or crystals, capsules, tablets, or liquid. Developed in the 1950s as an intravenous anesthetic, PCP was soon discontinued due to its side effects. PCP has a distinctive bitter chemical taste and can range in color from tan to brown.
Symptoms
In small amounts, weed laced with PCP can make you feel detached, distant, and estranged from your surroundings. Friends may notice you staring blankly and blinking often. Smoking PCP laced weed can also cause:
- hallucinations
- impaired coordination
- numbness of the extremities
- slurred speech
- aggressive or violent behavior
- a sense of strength and invulnerability

Weed Laced With Acid / LSD

This is becoming problematic in the UK most inner city dealers refuse to sell in large amounts, only “dime bags” of weed and with the rise of cheap synthetic chemicals found in “legal highs” I suspect these same chemicals are being used in weed to basicaly get people addicted. I have smoked a lot of weed before and so when i got some more i knew what to expect.
I usually wait about twenty minutes for the high to kick in. But this one kicked in about 20 seconds after i smoked it.

My daughter smokes weed. She is always edgy, cries over petty things or snaps at the family in anger over little things like the brush not being returned to it’s rightful place, she has lost weight and states that it’s because she’s full vegan now but I think it’s the drugs. You only mentioned that she smokes weed, and maybe this is something
else. I do not know you or your daughter, or what your life looks like.
You have the first hand knowledge, and I will take your indication that
you think there may be other substances at play here as a sign you think
drugs are causing this behavior, so I will work from that assumption.
While I cannot say for sure, this does not sound like a case of someone just
using cannabis, and there is the possibility of some sort of poly-drug
abuse going on here. There may also be underlying psych issues, but
those are exceedingly difficult to diagnose if there is substance use on
top of it.
The level and regularity of your daughters outbursts leads me to believe this is not “She got a hold of weed that had an adulterant in it” , and more towards there is a pattern of substance abuse that is deeper then what shows on the surface. She is 21, you
cannot legally force her into rehab, but it may be worth while to
surprise her with taking an at home dip stick style drug test if you
have leverage over her(does she still live at home?) and enforce her
taking it. This can help provide some objective evidence of other
substance use, and avoid emotions screwing the view, or your daughter
trying to manipulate her way out of the situation.
A 10 panel test will test all of the major categories of commonly abused drugs. A 2
pack can be picked up pretty cheap but may require you providing the
specimen cup. This enables you to replicate the results, and avoid
accusations of the test failing or providing false positives.
The kit mentioned in the article tests for 10 specific drugs:
1. Amphetamine (AMP) 1000 ng/ml
2. Barbiturates (BAR) 200 ng/m
3. Benzodiazepines (BZO) 300ng/ml
4. Cocaine (COC) 300 ng/ml,

6. Morphine/Opiates (OPI) 2000 ng/ml
7. Methamphetamine (Mamp) 1000 ng/ml
8. Marijuana (THC) 50 ng/m
9. PCP 25 ng/ml

If she shows as positive, (ANY line no matter how faint is to be read)
work to get her into treatment. If this turns out to be a more serious
drug abuse issue, whether is is the amounts she is taking or if it is a
more dangerous substance as Meth or Heroin she will require some form of
in patient treatment. This is especially true for opiate abuse, which
may require extensive in patient treatment, and sober living style step
down.
If she refuses or will not take it where you can supervise
and assure the sample was not tampered with, I would treat it as a
positive result. If she will not allow you or a medical professional to
administer the test in a controlled environment, and withdraws from you
or runs, this is a critical time to determine and set your boundaries.

My totally not certified, and
absolutely-not-medical-advice-GUESS is it is one of the two above
substances, depending on how things are playing out. If your daughter
has an abnormal amount of acne, or has been picking pimples, or showing
other compulsive behavior, staying up all night or for multiple days,
and generally seems to be experiencing mania, I would guess meth. If she
is slipping away and becoming distant, but sleeps pretty regularly and
otherwise seems pretty normal, I would suspect heroin, or other opioid
abuse.

your family come through this, whatever it may be, happier, and
stronger for it.If drugs are causing this: It is heart breaking,
and so frustrating to watch those we love become ensnared in the abuse
of these hard drugs. I have been there, and the best mantra I can offer
is : Love the addict, hate the disease. If your daughter does come up
positive, while you work to be firm, loving, and get her into treatment,
YOU need to go to your local AL-Anon meeting, which will be a great
place to learn more about the disease, and develop a strong, specific
support network that have all been in your place. It is a great resource for those affected by addiction in their families.
I suspect that I smoked meth laced weed. I’ve been smoking since I’ve been 14 yo (19 now) and have never had an effect like this. My heart was beating extremely fast, I was realy disoriented and kept blacking out/passing out. A few other things happened as well that I can’t seem to recall at the moment because I haven’t slept yet. But I vaguely remember the weed being kind of sparkly which I didn’t really think anything of. But the weird thing was I ended up smoking crystal meth one night (yeah fucking stupid, I know) and I was having the same exact effects as when I smoked the weed I had gotten.
I’ve been smoking for well over a decade and have never gotten laced weed until last night. There are so many reasons why dealers wouldn’t lace weed, so I’ve always shot down people when they claimed to have gotten laced weed. This time, though, there’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that the weed I got was laced with coke.
My buddy and I rolled up a blunt, and a few hits in, something felt off. My mouth started feeling a bit numb and I tasting a hint of crack. I used to do a lot of coke (and I preferred freebasing), so I know the taste of crack very well, but I dismissed it at first. Crack was my problem drug for a long time, so I still get the occasional craving, and when I start thinking about it, I imagine I can taste it. So… I usually dismiss it. Right up until I went from tired enough to fall asleep to wide awake and twitchy, feeling wonderfully geeked.
The chick that we bought from is a coke dealer, and apparently she’s on her way to rehab (never get high on your own supply), so it wouldn’t surprise me if she was hooking a preferred customer up with a little extra before she had to ditch her stash. Even though I try not to fuck around with the shit, I still love rock, so this was a very pleasant surprise… until I realized that I just bought a quarter of laced shit. I smoke weed to help me sleep, so… kinda not very useful… kinda wish it had been meth instead, but oh well.
My 17 year old daughter stayed the night with one of her friends and the girl’s dad and his friend broke out a bag of weed. They convinced my daughter to try it even though she didn’t want to. She said that they smoked some from a pipe and then some from a bong. She told me that she suddenly felt panicked and that it seemed like everything around her curved inward towards her and appeared wavy. Does it sound like the weed was laced with something? She believed that they were planning on killing her and was scared to death.
I think that it could be possible but it could also have been a panic attack or a bad reaction to her first time use. It is hard to tell with first time users or people telling another persons story. Sorry I couldn’t be much of a help. You could always keep drug tests, whether residue or urine, in case of emergency. Much easier and faster to do at home then go to er. The drug tests usually last a year from when you buy them. Spending 70 dollars for ease of mind doesn’t seem like to much imo
I took one hit off a bong and within the next ten minutes I found it hard to breathe, hard to walk or talk, felt dizzy to the point I seen pixels. My body temp was going from hot to cold, couldn’t get comfortable. My body felt really sore and I was became very thirsty. All from one bong hit. Yes my so called friends ask me over saying they was gonna smoke. I told them i was not. They break it up roll it them smoke it… They ask againg i said na that i was still sick… They begged so i took one small inhale… Now from the beginning it smell wierd like loud or skunk like we call it up north but worst… When they lit it its smelled worst. So was it laced?… They said it wasnt but the next day they said they called the dealer n he told them yes it was… Im so mad with them.
My son isn’t a regular smoker, he has the occasional session with friends, however, he bought some weed back in February and in June smoked a bong with a pinch of the bud. What occurred afterwards has me believe that the weed was laced..but with what?…. Straight after inhaling he said he felt a tightening in his chest and his heart beat raced, he felt thirsty but also panicky…he thought he was going to die…he told his girlfriend that they were already dead…after that he doesn’t remember the events that followed…he beat up his girlfriend black and blue and then jumped out of the window on the fourth floor, so 20 metres high!!! When the paramedics came, he was able to give them his name and address but doesn’t remember a thing! He broke his spine, both arms and legs and is pinned and plated everywhere..luckily he survived…but weed doesn’t make you react like that does it? I really want to get it tested because if this shit is laced it could really harm some unsuspecting individuals…it’s not right. The hospital and the police were not helpful in getting the weed analysed.
I wouldn’t worry about your weed getting “laced.” Any of the good narcs like PCP, coke, acid, ect…. cost too much money, your dealer would want to be compensated for the added kicker. Common sense goes a long way, buy from people you know, a quick inspection will reveal foreign crap to create weight or some other illusion. Lacing weed doesn’t make good business sense, and is rarely done. I’ve been smoking since the 70’s
