Crockpot cannabutter is one of those recipes that can be very healthy and impressive to make on your own. But the issue is that not a lot of people know how to make their own Crockpot cannabutter. And that’s why we created a quick guideline to help you create your Crockpot cannabutter in no time!

How To Make Crock pot Cannabutter

What you will note about Crockpot cannabutter is that it’s one of the simplest methods you can use to create cannabis-infused foods. Doing it properly can take quite a bit of time and effort though, which is why you should keep in mind the recipe. Plus, trial and error is your friend here, because the more you practice, the better the results can be in the end.
If you want the THC to decarboxylate properly, you have to heat it at low temperatures over a long period of time. In order to make things work here, you need to simmer the cannabis in a slow cooker or on a stove. The temperature range should be around 200F, although you can go up to 250F if needed. This means your cannabis won’t get hot too fast. If that happens, the active cannabinoids may get burnt off, and you want to avoid all of that.

Cannabutter Ingredients

The Crockpot cannabutter doesn’t require too many ingredients. In fact, this is known as one of the simplest methods of cooking cannabis at home. With that in mind, here are the ingredients you need to have:
• An ounce of ground cannabis flower (or 1.5 ounces of cannabis trim)
• A cup of water
• A lb of unsalted butter.

You usually have two methods that can be used to make Crockpot cannabutter. Here you can find complete details for both of them.

Cannabis Slow Cooker Method

For this method, you should turn the slow cooker onto low. Then you have to add the ingredients. After you added them, you will have to cover the slow cooker. Let it simmer on low; you will have to do that anywhere from 8 to 24 hours. Obviously, you need to come and stir from time to time. In regards to butter infusion, the more you let it simmer, the more cannabinoids will be a part of the final product.
A lot of people like this Crockpot cannabutter method because it allows you to get a lot of cannabinoids infused into the final product. That being said, the downside is that the method can be very time-consuming. Yet if you think about it, the result matters the most here, so try to keep that in mind, and you will have no problem getting the very best results in the end.

Stove top method

You will first have to add the butter and water into a sauce pan. You need to let the butter melt at this time, then simmer it on low. If you can add some water, it will help quite a lot. It will prevent butter scorching, and it will also regulate the temperature as well. And as the butter melts, you can add the ground cannabis product.

The trick here is to maintain a low heat, and you need to let the mixture simmer for around 3 hours. Of course, you will have to stir from time to time. The trick here is to avoid a full boil, as that’s a crucial aspect to keep in mind.

Things to remember (for both methods)

After you simmer, make sure that you put the mixture into a glass container. We recommend you to use a fine mesh strainer or a cheese cloth to strain the plant from your butter. If you can press the material or squeeze it, that will be great. This will help you eliminate most of the liquid.

When you put it into the fridge, make sure that you cover the remaining liquid. Usually, you have to do this until the butter is hardened. The butter will separate itself from water on its own, and the results will be more than ok this way.
A good idea before you start using the Crockpot cannabutter is to leave it at the room temperature for a while. This helps a lot because you will get it soft and ready to go. Keep in mind the fact that using the microwave to soften the butter is not ok at all.
The Crockpot cannabutter recipe is rather easy to use, and it does tend to bring in front some distinct and fun experiences all the time. The idea here is to find a good method that works for you and practicing as much as you can. The results will be outstanding all the time, so you should totally keep this recipe in mind, as it is a very nice, impressive one!

  1. Looks like good stuff. I have made it before without the water, and where the cannabutter came out good, I lost about a quarter even with vigorous staining. So, I take it the water may help reduce the loss, with the added benefit of keeping the THC ‘cool’.
